Taught a full semester as a graduate teaching fellow. An introduction to the basic principles of acting. Exploring monologues and scene work, text analysis, movement within dialogue, and in-the-moment-discoveries. Guided physical and vocal warm-ups, devising, games, and cool downs.

Theatre Silco (August 2025 - January 2026)
VIVO Teaching Artist (K-5)
VIVO Teachers fulfilled two areas of responsibility: 1) Served as classroom teachers for the theatre-based dual language after school program. This entailed teaching students K-5 the fundamentals of theatre, music, and dance while creating a safe and stable classroom space. 2) Supported Theatre Silco through administrative office duties. Matthias supported Director of Philanthropy Dr. Kate Groninger and Relationships/Events Manager Sorrel Perka. He also occasionally assisted the box office with front desk management.

Colorado Shakespeare Festival Day Camps (Summer 2022)
Alls Well That Ends Well (middle school)
Teaching assistant for lead instructor Jordan Pettis. Handled drop off, led warm-ups and class games, managed time, tracked blocking for the play, and helped with costume changes/backstage organization during the performance.

Sprites Day Camp (kindergarten)
Teaching assistant for lead instructor Kaitlin Nabors. Led warm-ups and class games, guided individual scene pairs in script analysis, supervised lunch break activities, and participated in select scenes with campers for final performance.
