WHAT IS SSE?

In the Shakespeare & Performance graduate program at Mary Baldwin University, the final academic year is structured around a cohort building and running a theatre company, producing a season of plays and staged readings, and finally a practitioner-centered thesis. Streetlight Shakespeare Ensemble was born 4:04pm on May 10th, 2024 as the enthusiastic theatre company of my MFA cohort. The purpose: create multi-hyphenate artists with strong collaborative spirits.
